Lost wax casting is a method where a jeweler or artist hand carves a shape in wax very precisly, the wax piece is then sent to the caster to be transformed into any metal you wish. As the molten metal is poured in to the mould the wax melts away, giving it the name "Lost Wax". This method creates beautiful one of a kind jewellery, no two pieces will ever be the same. For me I love this process to create funky ring shapes, the possibilities are endless!
